Amy Dunn, MSW
Hello! My name is Amy. First and foremost, I am a Christ-follower and am always in pursuit of growing deeper in my relationship with God. Secondly, I am a wife to Simon and mom to two daughters, and am continuously striving to honor God in those relationships. In my spare time, I enjoy knitting, going for walks, gardening, and spending as much time with my family as possible. I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Indiana. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Addictions Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Michigan. I have over 8 years of experience providing mental and behavioral health counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. Two years of my experience also includes working as an EAP (Employee Assistance Plan) provider; I worked to assist employees from various locations to cope with the stressors in the work-place, at home, and/or in their relationships in a short-term, limited session time frame. I primarily utilize Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies. I have also been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and find that these skills are incredibly useful in almost any situation. I also have a passion for faith based Christian counseling if that is something you are interested in. Whether you are looking to manage stressors in your life, meet personal goals, cope with anxiety/depression, or address marital/relational or family issues, I would be my privilege to work together with you to help you overcome those challenges and improve your overall level of functioning.
