Terrie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University and her Masters in counseling education from Indiana University. She is currently receiving her doctorate in Global Leadership at Indiana Tech. She is a tenacious therapist who has an incredible appetite for life and zeal for personal development. She has a passion for motivating and empowering others to attain healthy development of mind, body, and spirit through divine faith and positive lifestyle changes. She is a proud war veteran of the United States Marine Corps and serves as an educator, dance choreographer, and clergy minister. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, roller-skating, worshipping, and helping others discover their gifts and life purpose.
Some of Terrie’s counseling specialties include addictions, abuse and trauma, grief-in-loss, anxiety, depression, parenting, career-coaching, spiritual development, couple and marital strengthening, and family relational enhancement. She utilizes such counseling models as cognitive and behavioral therapy in her work at CVC. Terrie’s occupational and career experience as a program coordinator, residential supervisor, case manager, and spiritual life coach has helped her understand diverse populations including adolescents, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. She strives to help them learn how to cope with difficult life and interpersonal challenges in various locations across the U.S. Terrie has pursed international endeavors, and served as a communications chief in Kuwait and Iraq.
In the academic arena, Terrie currently serves as a professor at both Indiana Institute of Technology, and Indiana-Purdue University of Fort Wayne. As an educator, she instructs students in the areas of psychology, wellness, stress management, and human services.
Terrie also presents as a mental health speaker at workshops and conferences in Central Indiana. She also presents as a lecturer on mental and spiritual health on local television network stations. In her down time, Terrie spends time equipping others to become physically healthy in the areas of strength-training and dance choreography, and she also volunteers her time in helping church members advance in spiritual development.
